The short story "Oedipus the king" which is translated by Dudley Fitts and Robert Fitzgerald is a story/play I am familiar with because I read it in high school. Even though I read it in high school I still wasn't very familiar with it because the writing is hard to understand. I like the details that are included because since it's a play, details are of great importance. I dislike how a lot ideas are put into it which causes the reader to lose focus and maybe get bored. Since it's very old fashioned then maybe that's why I don't like it as much. I would tell someone that likes fiction and old fashioned stories to read this type of literature.
I agree with you with the writing it was very difficult to understand it is very old fashion like you mentioned ..this story is bit very inappropriate cause the king kill his father and slept with his mother...
